Alden Masonis, PhD
Senior Strategist and Founding Partner, Percolation Communications LLC

Alden is a senior strategist and founding partner of Percolation Communications LLC, as well as founding partner of its parent company, Blue Ocean Pharma LLC. He has 17 years experience working in the medical/marketing communications industry.

Percolation Communications LLC was established in October 2006 as a joint venture with co-founder Donna J. Schroeder. Since launching, Percolation grew to offer such a diverse array of products that two independent business units were established to focus exclusively on specialized services. Launched in 2011, these two new businesses, i.e. Strategy LLC and Powered 4 Significance LLC, joined Percolation under the parent company Blue Ocean Pharma LLC. This family of companies provides clients with a library of services that address needs across the product lifecycle, including clinical development, commercialization, and medical/marketing communications. The specialized businesses in the Blue Ocean Pharma group share the unified goal of ensuring the success of their client partners while supporting optimal patient care.

Alden has extensive therapeutic area expertise in neurology and psychiatry, including the areas of epilepsy, mood and anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, migraine, and neuropathic pain. Alden has additional therapy area expertise in infectious diseases, rheumatology, diabetes, oncology, and cardiovascular disease.

Alden received his doctoral degree from a joint program in neuropharmacology between Rutgers University Graduate School and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His thesis research established the first evidence for a direct interaction between androgenic and anabolic steroids and the gamma aminobutyric acid receptor system in rat brain. His postdoctoral research, in neuroendocrinology and reproductive physiology, was completed at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland.

Jeremy Altman
Jeremy Altman
Account Director and Medical/Marketing Strategist, Percolation Communications LLC

Jeremy Altman brings 13 years of experience as a medical communications account director, working in multiple therapeutic areas supporting client medical education and marketing programs. With his Medical Affairs colleagues, Jeremy has led teams managing hundreds of medical communications and medical marketing projects, along with competitive intelligence programs and digital offerings.

Recently, Jeremy has been assisting several Johnson & Johnson brands with their online medical education activities, supporting online patient education and sales initiatives. In this role, Jeremy and his team successfully implemented strategies improving website traffic, search engine optimization, social interactions, and site usage. Through these projects he has developed expertise in online communications strategies, database management, and client-specific website features and enhancements.

Before joining Percolation Jeremy held account director positions at MarketLive Inc., Helix Medical Communications, and Corinth Group Communications, and product manager positions at other companies. Jeremy has experience in multiple therapeutics areas including oncology, dermatology, respiratory diseases, CNS disorders, hemophilia, and ophthalmology. While working in these different therapeutic areas he has collaborated with key thought leaders and pharmaceutical companies to develop symposia, webcasts, and other communication tools.

Chancey Wesner
Chancey Wesner
Senior Director of Program Services, Percolations Communications LLC

Chancey has more than 30 years' experience in pharmaceutical medical communications, with hands-on involvement managing content development, advisory boards, print, multimedia, and Web-based programs. At the U.S. division of Excerpta Medica, she directed and implemented the launch of their Continuing Medical Education journal Clinical Cornerstone. She also was responsible for managing the Quality Control, Graphic Arts, and Production departments. During her tenure there, she developed two procedure manuals aimed at streamlining workflow and improving efficiency. Chancey has taken advanced courses in graphic arts and production at the Mercer County Vocational/ Technical School and the Rochester Institute of Technology, and has gained experience with e-learning technology and website development at Newton Gravity Shift and Accelera.

Working with most of the major pharmaceutical companies in the U.S., Chancey has had the opportunity to collaborate with key thought leaders and advance a wide range of therapeutics, including anticonvulsants, antidepressants, antihypertensives, anti-infectives, anti-inflammatories, antipsychotics and antivirals.

Chancey Wesner
Evelyn Albu

Evelyn Albu is a medical education professional with experience on both the corporate and agency side of medical education. Evelyn has experience in a wide variety of therapeutic categories. In CNS, Evelyn has planned and implemented a 2 year series of educational programs in Parkinson’s disease as well as having experience in developing medical educational programs for MS related to the interferons and developmental medical education programs for rituximab, and fingolimod prior to launch.

Evelyn received her PhD from Georgetown University Medical School. She has experience in pre-clinical and clinical research at BMS and Schering Corporation. She has served in various management capacities for a number of medical education providers including Integrated Communications, Applied Clinical Communications/Ingenix, SynerMed, GenQuest/BioGenesis, Helix Medical Communications, and Percolation Communications.
